Lahore will host an array of diverse art programmes from October 5 to November 8, showcasing creativity at the city’s historical and cultural landmarks. The events are part of the third ‘World Biennale Art Promotion Programmes,’ organized under the Lahore Biennale Foundation.
Chaired by Commissioner Zaid bin Maqsood, the meeting on Tuesday outlined the exciting four-week-long schedule. The foundation’s briefing revealed that artists from 42 countries will join forces with Lahore’s own artists to present works related to the city. This international collaboration aims to enhance Lahore’s literary and cultural profile, bolstering its status as one of the world’s literary cities.
Commissioner Maqsood emphasized the importance of these programmes for the promotion of Lahore’s creative art scene. He assured that the best arrangements will be made and instructed relevant departments to issue necessary NOCs and extend full cooperation to ensure the success of the events.
The upcoming festivities will include art exhibitions, conferences, poetry gatherings, and art dialogues, promising a vibrant celebration of art and culture throughout the city.
