Lahore is set to unveil its first-ever floating restaurant on the city’s iconic canal, offering a blend of fine dining and scenic beauty. This innovative venture aims to enhance Lahore’s status as a cultural and tourist hotspot.
The floating restaurant, designed with a modern and elegant aesthetic, will feature a wide range of culinary delights, from traditional Pakistani cuisine to international dishes. With a capacity to host over 200 guests, it will also include a deck for open-air dining, promising an unforgettable experience for visitors.
Punjab Tourism Minister, Rana Iqbal, announced the project during a press briefing. “This floating restaurant is a testament to Lahore’s dynamic growth as a city of innovation and hospitality. It will not only boost tourism but also provide a unique recreational spot for families,” he said.
The restaurant is expected to open its doors in early 2025. Visitors will also enjoy live music performances, special events, and guided canal tours as part of the experience.
Environmentalists have raised concerns about the project’s potential impact on the canal’s ecosystem. However, authorities have assured that strict environmental protocols are in place to ensure minimal disruption.
