The district and sessions courts in Islamabad have awarded a death sentence to TikToker Mohammad Niaz, also known as Alyan, in a case involving theft and murder. The verdict was delivered by Judge Tahir Abbas Sapra after careful consideration of evidence and witness testimonies.
The case dates back to May 2023 when Alyan allegedly snatched a car from Khurram Akbar, a 28-year-old individual traveling from Gujranwala to Islamabad late at night. Shockingly, Alyan is accused of not only stealing the vehicle but also taking the life of the victim.
Witnesses present at the scene reported that Alyan killed Khurram Akbar and fled, leaving a trail of horror behind. The court took note that Alyan himself had identified the crime scene, and a 30-bore pistol, believed to be the murder weapon, was recovered from him. The convict had allegedly discarded the weapon in the bushes near the crime scene.
During the trial, Alyan claimed to be in Peshawar when the murder occurred, but the court found no witnesses to corroborate his statement. Judge Tahir Abbas Sapra emphasized that the lack of supporting evidence weakened Alyan’s defense.
In its verdict, the court concluded that the witnesses positively identified Alyan as an intentional murderer. The judge declared Alyan guilty of both murder and theft based on the substantial evidence presented during the trial. Consequently, the court sentenced TikToker Mohammad Niaz alias Alyan to death for his involvement in this heinous crime.
This decision sends a strong message about the serious consequences individuals may face for engaging in criminal activities, even if they have a significant social media presence. The legal system in Islamabad remains committed to ensuring justice and maintaining law and order within the community.
