Khan candidly spoke about a time when she was “really, really, really depressed,” struggling to comprehend people telling her how enviable her life was. She emphasized that depression is a legitimate disease, often stemming from a chemical imbalance, and requires professional treatment. “Depression and other mental health issues like bipolarity or manic depression are diseases. They have medicines and treatments,” she said.

The actor revealed that during her darkest times, medication played a crucial role in her recovery, alongside the unwavering support of her friends, family, and son. Spirituality also provided solace, with Khan turning to prayer to find strength. “The support system is very important,” she stressed, highlighting the role of loved ones in her journey.

If you’re suffering and in pain, you must take help because there is good help available,” she said.
