Islamabad, Pakistan — Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has been conferred with Pakistan’s highest civil award, the Nishan-e-Pakistan, in recognition of his longstanding contributions to strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations and his efforts in promoting peace and regional stability.
The award was presented to PM Anwar by Pakistan’s President Arif Alvi during a ceremonial event held at the Presidential Palace in Islamabad on Wednesday. The prestigious honor was bestowed in acknowledgment of Anwar’s role as a leader who has consistently advocated for closer ties between Malaysia and Pakistan, as well as his dedication to the broader goals of international cooperation.
In his speech, President Alvi praised Anwar’s commitment to fostering strong political, economic, and cultural connections between the two countries, noting that the bond between Pakistan and Malaysia is rooted in shared values, mutual respect, and a common vision for the future.
“We are proud to honor Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim with the Nishan-e-Pakistan.
