Senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Manzoor Wassan has forecasted a tumultuous period for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and its founder, former Prime Minister Imran Khan. According to Wassan, PTI is at a “dead end,” and the coming two and a half months will see heightened tensions among the judiciary, institutions, and politicians.
Wassan suggested that significant changes within PTI are imminent and expressed skepticism about a positive turn of events. “The upcoming days don’t look promising for politicians,” Wassan said. He advised politicians to prioritize the survival of democracy rather than engaging in conflicts. He also warned that the situation might not be favorable for them and hinted at the possibility of the National Assembly being dissolved and a caretaker government taking over.
Expressing concern over a potential major upheaval, Wassan indicated that Pakistan might face a substantial “cleanup” in the near future. He urged PTI members to navigate their current predicament wisely to avoid reaching an irretrievable point.
Wassan also offered a stark warning to Imran Khan, advising him to act sensibly, lower his stance, and make prudent decisions. “There may come a time when no one is willing to become the prime minister of this country,” Wassan cautioned.
