Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has suggested that her father, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, should purchase Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). She expressed that transforming the airline and rebranding it as “Air Punjab” could revitalize it amid ongoing privatization efforts. This statement comes as Pakistan aims to sell a 51-100% stake in the debt-ridden airline, with a recent bid falling short of expectations.
