A significant reduction in petrol prices is anticipated starting from August 16, bringing much-needed relief to individuals struggling with high living costs. According to sources, petrol prices are expected to decrease by up to 12 rupees per liter. The expected price cuts are as follows: – Petrol: 9 rupees per liter reduction – Diesel: 8.5 rupees per liter reduction – Kerosene oil: over 12 rupees per liter reduction This potential price cut is particularly crucial for Balochistan, which is currently experiencing a severe fuel crisis with petrol prices soaring to as high as 550 rupees per liter. The final details on the new prices will be provided by OGRA on August 15. The new rates will be officially announced after consultations with the Finance Minister and the Prime Minister. This anticipated reduction follows a previous price cut on August 1, which had also offered some relief to consumers.
