DALLAS, Texas – Thousands of protesters gathered in downtown Dallas, North Texas, on Sunday to show their solidarity with Palestinians and condemn what they described as war crimes committed by Israel in Gaza. The protesters, hailing from various local communities and human rights organizations, joined forces to raise their voices against the actions of the Israeli government led by Benjamin Netanyahu.
The demonstration drew a significant turnout, with men, women, and children marching from Dallas City Hall to participate in the rally against the ongoing violence and injustices in Gaza.
Speakers from human rights organizations addressed the crowd, shedding light on the dire situation in Palestine and expressing their concerns about the perceived silence of the international community, including the United States, as Israeli forces continued to commit alleged atrocities, seemingly disregarding international humanitarian law.
Among the allegations raised were Israel’s airstrikes on hospitals, causing casualties among innocent Palestinian civilians, and hindering the passage of essential assistance through the Rafah border in Gaza.
Throughout the protest, demonstrators passionately raised their voices, chanting slogans in support of Palestinians. Leaders from Kashmir also took part in the rally, which lasted for nearly four hours.
According to the Gaza health ministry’s latest figures, more than 5,000 Palestinians, including many civilians and over 2,000 children, have lost their lives in relentless Israeli bombardments since Hamas’s resistance began on October 7. Thousands of buildings have been destroyed, and over a million people are believed to have been displaced in the besieged territory. The death toll continues to rise as rescue efforts are hampered by the extensive damage across the city.
