In a landmark development for Pakistan’s automotive industry, Master Motor Corporation and Yutong Bus Company have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a joint venture aimed at manufacturing and assembling Yutong’s new energy city buses within the country.
Named “Yutong Master,” the venture will set up a pioneering greenfield plant, marking the first local production of city buses in Pakistan. Yutong’s cutting-edge hybrid and electric New Energy City Buses are set to revolutionize urban transport, aligning seamlessly with national infrastructure objectives.
The MoU, signed by Master Motor’s CEO Danial Malik and Yutong’s Executive Huang Yuanchao, took place at the prestigious Pakistan Shenzhen Business Conference on June 5, 2024. This significant agreement coincided with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s pivotal visit to China, underscoring a strategic effort to bolster economic activities between the two nations.
The collaboration between Master Motor Corporation and Yutong Bus Company not only promises to elevate Pakistan’s automotive manufacturing capabilities but also aims to contribute significantly to sustainable urban mobility, enhancing the quality of public transport nationwide.
