KARACHI: The Sindh government has officially rescheduled the matriculation and intermediate examinations for 2025 in consideration of the holy month of Ramadan.
According to the revised schedule, matriculation (9th and 10th grade) exams will now commence on April 7, 2025, instead of the previously planned date, while practical exams will begin earlier on March 10, 2025.
Similarly, intermediate (11th and 12th grade) exams have been pushed to April 28, 2025. The practical exam dates for intermediate students will be announced later.
The decision was taken during a meeting of the Sindh Education Department’s steering committee, chaired by Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah. Officials stated that the change was made to ensure that students do not face difficulties while fasting during Ramadan.
Furthermore, the committee has also announced that the new academic session will begin on April 7, 2025, instead of April 1.
Meanwhile, the summer and winter vacations schedule remains unchanged, with summer holidays set from June 1 to July 31, and winter vacations from December 22 to December 31.
The revised exam schedule aims to provide relief to students and ensure a smooth examination process during the fasting month.
