Anchorperson Imran Riaz Khan, who had been missing for over four months, has been confirmed “safe at home” by Punjab Inspector General (IG) Dr. Usman Anwar. This announcement was made on Monday, marking the end of a lengthy and mysterious disappearance.

The development was also verified by Sialkot District Police Officer (DPO) Hassan Iqbal and Imran Riaz Khan’s lawyer, Mian Ali Ashfaq, both of whom confirmed that he had been safely located.
Imran Riaz Khan, a well-known YouTuber and television anchor, had gone missing shortly after violent protests erupted across the nation following the arrest of PTI Chairman Imran Khan on May 9th. He was last seen being taken to Cantt police station after his arrest and subsequently transferred to Sialkot prison. However, on May 15th, a law officer informed the Lahore High Court (LHC) that Khan had been released from jail after providing a written undertaking.
The situation took a decisive turn when, on September 20th, the Lahore High Court granted the Punjab police chief a “last opportunity” to recover Imran Riaz Khan by September 26th. Following this, an adjourned hearing was scheduled for tomorrow.
Breaking the news on social media, the Sialkot police posted on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “Journalist/anchor Mr. Imran Riaz Khan has been safely recovered. He is now with his family.” This announcement brings relief to Khan’s family, friends, and supporters who had been anxiously awaiting his return.
The circumstances surrounding Imran Riaz Khan’s disappearance and subsequent reappearance are expected to be further elucidated as the investigation continues, shedding light on this long-standing mystery.
