Islamabad, Pakistan — The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has announced that the moon marking the beginning of Rabiul Awwal was not sighted, resulting in Eid-i-Miladun Nabi, the observance of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), being scheduled for September 17, 2024.
The announcement was made following a meeting held on September 3, 2024, where members of the committee reviewed reports from various parts of the country. Despite efforts to sight the moon, clear evidence was not presented, leading to the decision to observe Eid-i-Miladun Nabi on the 12th of Rabiul Awwal, corresponding to September 17.
Eid-i-Miladun Nabi is a significant event in the Islamic calendar, commemorating the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The day is marked by various activities including prayers, religious gatherings, and community events.
