In a recent development, NAB Rawalpindi has dispatched a letter to the Deputy Superintendent of Adiala Jail, calling for their presence in the ongoing investigation. Sources informed Aaj News that notices issued by NAB mandate the appearance of both individuals on April 16th.
This move underscores a heightened focus on the Toshakhana case, which centers on allegations of misappropriation concerning gifts from foreign dignitaries.
Previously, Prime Minister Imran Khan and First Lady Bushra Bibi faced separate cases linked to the Toshakhana. The couple was handed down 14-year prison sentences in one instance, though the Islamabad High Court suspended these sentences in April, following their announcement in January 2024.
