The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has officially expanded its Biker Service to several new cities, including Karachi, Mirpur Khas, and Wah Cantonment. This initiative enables citizens to access key NADRA services from the comfort of their homes, eliminating the need for physical visits to NADRA offices.
The service, which was initially launched in Punjab, is now operational in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Taxila, Lahore, Karachi, Mirpur Khas, and Wah Cantonment.
Inauguration in Karachi
Ehtasham Shahid, NADRA Karachi region Director General, inaugurated the service by handing over keys to the bikers. These riders are equipped with the necessary tools to facilitate services like CNIC renewals and document processing at the applicant’s doorstep.
Service Timings and Charges
- Available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 7 PM
- Citizens can renew CNICs and access other services by calling the NADRA helpline
- An additional fee of Rs. 1,000 applies on top of standard renewal charges
- Once processed, documents will be delivered to applicants’ homes
Limitations and Future Expansion
While CNIC renewals and certain services are available via the Biker Service, new CNIC applicants must still visit a NADRA office for biometric verification.
NADRA has launched the service in Karachi with three motorcycles and has plans to expand further to Hyderabad and Mirpur Khas, ensuring greater accessibility for citizens across Sindh.
This initiative is a step forward in digitizing and simplifying public services, making it easier for citizens to manage their essential documentation without long office wait times.
