Prominent PML-N leader Javed Latif has provided insight into the internal debate within the party regarding the confrontational narrative advocated by its supremo, Nawaz Sharif. Latif affirmed that Nawaz Sharif firmly believes that the current state of affairs in Pakistan cannot be rectified if those responsible for wrongdoing are allowed to go unpunished.
Latif echoed Nawaz’s conviction that it is crucial for the public to support judges who make decisions in accordance with the law, even when facing external pressures. He warned that failing to do so could undermine the fairness of the judicial system in the country.
Furthermore, Latif raised concerns about external pressures from armed groups that seek to influence decisions and provoke sit-ins to resist appointments. He cited the 9 May revolts as an example of how personal desires can jeopardize the nation’s stability.
He stressed Nawaz Sharif’s question to those who advocate moving on without holding wrongdoers accountable: “Do we want to sacrifice the country for our desires?”
Addressing the issue of economic priorities versus accountability, Latif emphasized that Nawaz Sharif is dedicated to ensuring that culprits are held accountable and that the nation stands by judges who uphold the rule of law.
Regarding a reported attempt by Shehbaz Sharif to convince Nawaz to abandon his confrontational stance, Latif clarified that party leaders express their opinions before Nawaz makes a decision, and once a decision is made, they stand united behind it.
Responding to queries about the “Bajwa doctrine” and the no-confidence motion, Latif argued that bringing such a motion was not merely a party need but a necessity for the state itself. He suggested that international forces were working against Pakistan by not taking action against those accused in the cypher issue raised by Imran Khan.
Latif concluded by emphasizing Nawaz Sharif’s call for the nation to support judges who adhere to the law, as failing to do so would undermine the integrity of the country’s judicial system.
Maryam Nawaz Takes Charge of Nawaz Sharif’s Grand Reception

Maryam, who conducted crucial discussions in London regarding Nawaz Sharif’s anticipated homecoming, is set to review reception arrangements and meet with party officials and coordinators across Punjab. She will also address a public gathering in Shahdara Town on October 1, serving as a precursor to the main Minar-e-Pakistan rally.
Maryam is slated to hold seven meetings in Lahore from October 1 to 8, conveying Nawaz Sharif’s message to the people and mobilizing local and senior party leaders.
