In anticipation of Pakistan’s Independence Day, a road in Queens, New York City, has been named after Allama Muhammad Iqbal, Pakistan’s national poet. The ceremony, attended by the Pakistani-American community, saw the inauguration of ‘Allama Iqbal Avenue’ in Richmond Hill. The American-Pakistani Advocacy Group played a key role in making this happen, promoting better relations between Pakistan and the United States and raising awareness about Pakistan’s history and culture. Allama Iqbal’s inspiring vision laid the foundation for Pakistan’s independence!
