Lahore police have arrested nine individuals, including two women, for allegedly honey-trapping and robbing renowned playwright Khalilur Rehman Qamar. The incident took place on July 15, when Qamar was lured to a meeting by a woman under the pretense of discussing a drama project. Once he arrived, seven armed men held him at gunpoint, robbing him of his car, cash, and phone. The suspects withdrew money from his ATM card and subjected him to physical and emotional abuse before abandoning him. Police have recovered Qamar’s belongings and detained the suspects.
