Karachi: As the holy month of Ramadan begins, residents of Karachi are facing a severe gas shortage, making it difficult to prepare meals for Sehri and Iftar. Several areas, including Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Nazimabad, Korangi, and Malir, are experiencing low to no gas pressure, leaving citizens frustrated.
Households and eateries are struggling to cook food, forcing many to rely on expensive alternatives like LPG cylinders and electric stoves. Citizens have taken to social media to voice their outrage, demanding urgent action from the authorities.
The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has yet to issue an official statement on the crisis. However, experts warn that the shortage may persist due to high demand and supply constraints. Karachiites are urging the government to intervene and ensure uninterrupted gas supply during Ramadan.
