ISLAMABAD — The government has made it mandatory for all Pakistanis intending to work abroad to register with the Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment (BEOE) before departure, officials confirmed on Tuesday.
According to the new directive, no individual will be allowed to travel overseas for employment without completing the official registration process. The move aims to protect Pakistani workers’ rights, ensure legal employment, and prevent exploitation by unauthorized agents.
Officials said the registration can be completed online through the BEOE portal or at any authorized office across the country. The data collected will also help the government maintain accurate records of overseas workers and provide better welfare and support services.
The Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis urged citizens to verify foreign job offers through legal channels and warned that violations of the rule could lead to fines or travel restrictions.
