Muscat – The Sultanate of Oman has announced the launch of its E-Visa Program 2025, offering Pakistani students a simplified and faster visa application process. This initiative aims to enhance accessibility for students seeking to study, attend educational events, or explore short-term academic opportunities in Oman.
Under this program, Pakistani students can now apply for visas entirely online via the Royal Oman Police (ROP) E-Visa portal (evisa.rop.gov.om), eliminating the need to visit consulates. The system allows students to submit documents, make payments, and receive approvals efficiently.
Key Features of Oman’s E-Visa Program 2025 for Pakistani Students:
✅ Online Application: No need for physical document submission at embassies.
✅ Fast Processing: Quicker approval times for student visas.
✅ Unsponsored Tourist Visa: Eligible students can visit Oman for short-term educational events without requiring a local sponsor.
✅ Mandatory Health Insurance: Starting in 2025, expatriate students will need health insurance, either provided by their institutions or arranged independently.
This move is part of Oman’s broader strategy to attract international students and visitors while implementing Omanization policies in its job market. While study visas remain open, Oman has restricted work visas in specific sectors like construction and hospitality to create more employment opportunities for Omani citizens.
Pakistani students planning to study or attend academic programs in Oman can check their eligibility and application process on the official E-Visa portal. This development is expected to ease travel barriers and boost educational exchanges between Pakistan and Oman.
