Islamabad, October 28, 2025 — In a reaffirmation of regional cooperation and friendship, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza said that Pakistan and Bangladesh will continue to support each other in areas of mutual interest and defense collaboration.
The statement came during a meeting with Bangladesh’s Chief of Army Staff, General Muhammad Yunus, at the Joint Staff Headquarters in Rawalpindi. Both military leaders discussed regional security, training exchanges, and defense cooperation, expressing a shared commitment to peace and stability in South Asia.
General Mirza emphasized Pakistan’s desire to strengthen bilateral ties, saying, “Our two countries will support each other and work together for regional peace and prosperity.”
General Muhammad Yunus appreciated Pakistan’s professional military standards and the ongoing cooperation between the armed forces of both countries.
The visit marks a positive step toward enhancing defense and diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
