More than 11.9 million pilgrims performed Umrah across Saudi Arabia within a single month, marking one of the highest recorded numbers of worshippers in recent times. The surge reflects the Kingdom’s enhanced capacity, advanced services, and streamlined systems introduced to facilitate pilgrims from around the world.
According to officials, the large influx of pilgrims was managed through improved crowd control, digital permits, and expanded transportation and health services. The Grand Mosque in Makkah witnessed smooth movement of worshippers, while authorities ensured safety, cleanliness, and comfort throughout the holy rituals.
Saudi authorities credited the success to modern infrastructure, smart technologies, and coordinated efforts among various government departments. Pilgrims also praised the efficient arrangements, hospitality, and ease of access to services during their spiritual journey.
