Islamabad, August 5, 2024 — In a significant stride towards bolstering its international footprint, Pak Suzuki Motor Company Limited has initiated vehicle exports to Bangladesh and Afghanistan. This milestone was unveiled by CEO Hiroshi Kawamura during the launch of the Suzuki Vendor Cluster Area, underscoring Pak Suzuki’s expanding role in the global automotive market.
Since 1997, Pak Suzuki has been exporting vehicles and auto parts, including to Japan, showcasing the quality and competitive edge of Pakistani-manufactured automobiles. CEO Kawamura expressed confidence in the company’s ability to meet international standards, further enhancing Pakistan’s automotive export capabilities.
The inauguration of the Suzuki Vendor Cluster Area was also graced by Minister for Industries & Production Rana Tanveer Hussain, emphasizing the government’s commitment to bolstering local industry. This new facility aims to strengthen Pak Suzuki’s local supplier network, fostering efficiency and cost-effectiveness through localized supply chain management.
The Pakistan Credit Rating Agency Limited (PACRA) affirmed Pak Suzuki’s entity ratings at “AA-” for the long term and “A1” for the short term, maintaining a stable outlook. This rating reflects Pak Suzuki’s robust market position and the strong support of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan.
Pak Suzuki’s foray into new export markets marks a pivotal moment in Pakistan’s automotive sector, aligning with broader efforts to promote economic growth and enhance international trade relations.
