ISLAMABAD — Pakistan has joined 15 other nations in a collective call to ensure the protection of humanitarian boats bound for Gaza, amid growing concerns over the safety of aid missions attempting to deliver food, medicine, and relief supplies to the war-torn strip.
In a joint statement, the countries emphasized that humanitarian vessels must be allowed safe passage under international law and that any obstruction or attack on such missions would be a violation of global humanitarian principles.
Officials in Islamabad reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for the people of Gaza, urging the international community to safeguard relief operations and prevent further escalation of the humanitarian crisis.
The coalition of nations stressed that aid deliveries are “a lifeline” for civilians trapped in the conflict zone and called on all parties to guarantee unimpeded access to humanitarian assistance.
