Islamabad, October 15, 2024 — In a major step toward strengthening bilateral ties, Pakistan and China have signed 13 agreements aimed at enhancing cooperation in various fields, including education, technology, infrastructure, and trade. The agreements were finalized during a high-level meeting held between Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chinese Premier Li Qiang in Islamabad on Monday.
The agreements cover a wide range of sectors, with a strong emphasis on technology exchange, educational collaboration, and advancing key projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Both nations have expressed their commitment to further deepening their strategic partnership.

- Education and Research
Both countries have agreed to expand academic exchanges and establish joint research centers. Special focus will be placed on science, technology, and engineering fields. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that the agreements would serve as a foundation for even closer bilateral ties between the two nations, which are already referred to as “all-weather friends” and “iron brothers.” He hailed China’s support in Pakistan’s development, particularly in the wake of recent economic challenges.
