Islamabad: The Government of Pakistan has officially announced public holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr 2025. According to the notification issued by the Cabinet Division, the holidays will be observed from March 31 (Monday) to April 2 (Wednesday), 2025.
The announcement comes as the nation prepares for the joyous occasion marking the end of Ramadan. The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is scheduled to meet on March 30, 2025 (Sunday) to sight the Shawwal moon, which will confirm the exact date of Eid.
Millions of Pakistanis are expected to travel to their hometowns to celebrate the festival with family and loved ones. Banks, government offices, and educational institutions will remain closed during the holiday period.
Eid-ul-Fitr is one of the most significant Islamic festivals, celebrated with prayers, charity, feasts, and gatherings. Security measures and traffic management plans are also being put in place across major cities to ensure a smooth and safe celebration.
