Islamabad: In a major step toward strengthening bilateral cooperation in science and technology, Pakistan and China have agreed to establish a state-of-the-art Space Science Training Centre in Pakistan.
The initiative, finalized under the framework of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), aims to provide advanced training opportunities in satellite technology, space exploration, and related scientific fields.
According to officials, the centre will serve as a hub for research, skill development, and knowledge-sharing, enabling young Pakistani scientists, engineers, and students to gain hands-on expertise in cutting-edge space technologies with technical assistance from China’s space agencies.
Experts believe the move will significantly enhance Pakistan’s capabilities in space science, while also deepening strategic cooperation between the two countries.
The training centre is expected to become operational within the next two years.
