Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) on Friday reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to regional stability, stating that the country has always prioritized peace over war.
Addressing a press briefing at the ISPR headquarters, the DG ISPR emphasized that Pakistan’s armed forces are fully prepared to defend the nation but remain committed to avoiding conflict through dialogue and diplomacy.
“Pakistan believes in peaceful coexistence and the resolution of disputes through negotiations,” he said. “Our strategic intent has always been to promote regional peace and stability.”
The military spokesperson also underscored that while Pakistan’s defense forces are capable and alert, their primary objective is to deter aggression rather than provoke it.
He further reiterated Pakistan’s desire to work with its neighbors and the international community to ensure lasting peace in South Asia.
The remarks come amid ongoing regional tensions, with the DG ISPR calling for restraint, mutual respect, and a focus on constructive engagement.
