Islamabad: Pakistan is in advanced negotiations to sell a batch of JF-17 Thunder fighter jets to a “friendly country,” officials from the defence establishment said on Friday. The name of the country has not been disclosed due to confidentiality agreements.
According to officials, the proposed deal includes the supply of aircraft along with pilot and ground-crew training, spare parts, and long-term maintenance support. They added that the agreement, once finalized, would strengthen defence cooperation and further boost Pakistan’s profile as an emerging exporter of combat aircraft.
