To address the backlog in passport printing, Pakistan has introduced 10 advanced desktop printing machines that will double the current passport production capacity, from around 22,000 daily to a higher volume. This increase aims to keep up with the growing demand, which has surged to about 44,000 passport applications daily. The new machines are expected to be operational by next week, significantly alleviating the processing delays.
