Islamabad/Dhaka: In a key step toward improving bilateral and regional connectivity, Pakistan has offered Bangladesh the use of Karachi Port for trade and transit operations, officials announced on Tuesday.
The offer, discussed during recent diplomatic engagements, is seen as part of Pakistan’s efforts to promote greater economic collaboration across South Asia. The initiative could help Bangladeshi exporters access new trade routes and markets through Pakistan’s major seaport.
Officials from both sides expressed optimism that the proposal will foster stronger commercial partnerships, improve logistics, and enhance mutual trust between the two countries.
Experts view the development as a sign of warming relations between Islamabad and Dhaka, which could pave the way for broader cooperation in trade, transport, and regional development.
