Pakistan Railways has announced the operation of a special train to facilitate the thousands of supporters and admirers of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto as they gather to commemorate her 17th death anniversary on December 27.
According to officials, the special train will run from Karachi to Larkana, providing safe and economical transportation for attendees traveling to Garhi Khuda Bakhsh, the site of the Bhutto family mausoleum. The initiative aims to accommodate the large influx of people expected to pay tribute to the iconic leader, who was tragically assassinated in 2007.
The train schedule, ticket pricing, and security arrangements will be shared in the coming days. Pakistan Railways emphasized its commitment to ensuring the smooth travel of passengers while upholding strict safety measures.
Benazir Bhutto, the first woman to lead a Muslim-majority nation, remains a symbol of democracy and perseverance in Pakistan’s political history. Her death anniversary draws thousands of supporters to Larkana annually, where prayers and memorial services are held in her honor.
