Islamabad: Pakistan Railways has announced the schedule for special Eid ul-Fitr trains to accommodate the large number of travelers heading to their hometowns for the festive occasion.
According to the official statement, a total of five special trains will operate on different routes across the country, ensuring convenience for passengers.
Schedule of Eid Special Trains:
- March 26 – First special train will depart from Karachi Cantt to Lahore at 1:00 PM.
- March 26 – Second special train will depart from Quetta to Peshawar at 10:00 AM.
- March 27 – Third special train will depart from Karachi City Station to Rawalpindi at 8:30 PM.
- March 28 – Fourth special train will depart from Karachi Cantt to Lahore at 9:00 PM.
- March 29 – Fifth special train will depart from Karachi to Lahore.
These special trains will include economy class, AC Business, and AC Standard coaches to cater to passengers from different financial backgrounds.
Pakistan Railways has urged passengers to book their tickets in advance to avoid any last-minute hassle. Online booking facilities and reservations at railway stations are available for convenience.
In addition, the federal government has announced Eid ul-Fitr holidays from March 31 to April 2, 2025, allowing ample time for travelers to reunite with their families.
