ISLAMABAD (12 Oct 2025) — In a major border development, Pakistan’s security forces have reportedly captured 19 Afghan border posts following a series of intense clashes along the Pakistan-Afghanistan frontier.
According to defense sources, the action was taken in response to unprovoked aggression from Afghan forces, which targeted Pakistani military positions earlier this week.
The Pakistan Army reportedly conducted strong retaliatory strikes, taking control of multiple Afghan posts in the process. The situation along the border remains tense, with both sides reinforcing their positions.
Officials in Islamabad have not yet issued an official confirmation, while Afghan authorities have also remained silent on the reported losses.
Security analysts say the latest development could further strain relations between the two neighboring countries.
