In a continued show of solidarity with the people of Gaza, Pakistan has dispatched its sixth batch of humanitarian assistance from Karachi. The relief goods, weighing 100 tonnes, were sent off from Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport via a special flight destined for Egypt, where the Pakistani ambassador will oversee their reception.
The shipment includes essential items vital for the well-being of the Gazan population, comprising 30 tonnes of warm tents and blankets, 70 tonnes of medical aids, and assorted foodstuff. Upon arrival in Egypt, the relief supplies will be forwarded to the besieged Gaza Strip for immediate distribution to those in need.
Officials from various Pakistani authorities, including the National Disaster Management Authority, Ministry of External Affairs, and representatives from the armed forces, were present at the departure ceremony held at Karachi airport. The event was also graced by the Palestinian ambassador to Pakistan, underscoring the enduring bond between the two nations.
This latest dispatch brings Pakistan’s total contribution to Gaza’s relief efforts to 230 tonnes, reflecting the country’s unwavering commitment to supporting the Palestinian people during times of crisis.
