In a first for the country, Pakistan is set to open its first-ever Giraffe Café at the Karachi Safari Park, offering visitors a one-of-a-kind dining experience surrounded by nature and wildlife.
According to the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), the innovative project aims to combine recreation, education, and conservation awareness by allowing guests to enjoy their meals in close proximity to giraffes — under strict safety and animal welfare guidelines.
Officials revealed that the café will be designed to provide a natural and interactive environment, featuring raised platforms where visitors can feed and observe the giraffes while learning about their behavior and habitat.
“The Giraffe Café will be a landmark addition to Karachi’s tourism and wildlife experience,” a KMC spokesperson said. “Our goal is to promote eco-friendly recreation while ensuring the well-being of the animals.”
The initiative is part of a broader plan to revamp Karachi Safari Park, introducing modern facilities, improved habitats, and family-friendly attractions. Environmental experts have welcomed the idea, noting that such projects can help raise awareness about wildlife conservation if managed responsibly.
The café is expected to open to the public later this year, attracting both local visitors and international tourists eager to enjoy a truly unique experience.
