In a significant move aimed at providing financial relief to Hajj pilgrims, the Government of Pakistan has announced that it will refund up to Rs100,000 to pilgrims who performed Hajj during the 2024 season. This decision comes after a review of the costs and financial adjustments related to the pilgrimage.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs confirmed that the refunds will be issued directly to eligible pilgrims’ bank accounts in the coming weeks. Pilgrims who paid higher-than-expected fees due to fluctuating exchange rates and other unforeseen circumstances are set to benefit from this measure.
The government aims to ease the financial burden on those who took part in the religious journey while also ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the refund process.
