Islamabad, [Date] — In a significant move to ease the financial burden on Hajj pilgrims, Chaudhary Salik Hussain, the Minister for Religious Affairs, announced in the National Assembly today that each Hajj pilgrim will be granted a refund of Rs 100,000.
This decision follows an extensive recount by the ministry, revealing that this year’s Hajj expenses were Rs 100,000 lower compared to the previous year. Minister Hussain emphasized that this refund, along with additional savings on airfare, aims to make the holy pilgrimage more affordable and accessible for Pakistani Muslims.
Pilgrims also benefited from a reduction of approximately Rs 35,000 in airfare costs this year. These financial adjustments are part of the government’s ongoing efforts to support the faithful in their spiritual journey and ensure that Hajj remains a feasible aspiration for all.
