The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) season will dedicate a 30-day tribute to honor the sacrifices and services of the Pakistan Armed Forces.
The tribute, set to run throughout the league’s schedule, will feature special themed matches, commemorative kits worn by players, and pre-match ceremonies recognizing the bravery of military personnel. The initiative aims to strengthen national unity and express gratitude to the armed forces for their role in ensuring the country’s security.
According to PCB officials, all six franchises have extended their support to the campaign. “This is a moment of pride for us. The PSL is not just about cricket – it’s also about celebrating Pakistan’s heroes,” a PCB spokesperson stated.
The board also plans to invite families of martyrs and serving personnel to matches, while stadiums will display visuals and messages in support of the armed forces throughout the tournament.
More details on special events and match schedules related to the tribute will be shared by the PCB in the coming days.
