The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially denied reports suggesting that Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has submitted his resignation.
In a statement issued on Monday, the PCB termed the circulating rumors as “baseless and misleading.” The board clarified that Mohsin Naqvi continues to serve as chairman and remains fully committed to his responsibilities, including the ongoing efforts to revamp Pakistan cricket.
“There is no truth to the rumors regarding Mr. Naqvi’s resignation. The Chairman is actively overseeing various key initiatives and is fully engaged in PCB operations,” the statement said.
Speculation over Naqvi’s position began surfacing on social media over the weekend, triggering widespread discussion among fans and analysts. However, PCB’s prompt clarification has put the matter to rest.
Mohsin Naqvi, who is also serving as the caretaker Interior Minister, took over the PCB chairmanship earlier this year and has since focused on administrative reforms and strengthening domestic cricket infrastructure.
