In a bid to expand its international network, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced the launch of a new direct flight route from Lahore to Muscat, the capital of Oman.
According to a statement from PIA, the new service aims to facilitate business travelers, overseas Pakistanis, and tourists, offering convenient and affordable travel options between the two cities.
The Lahore–Muscat flight will operate multiple times a week, with competitive fares and improved in-flight services, as part of PIA’s broader strategy to revive its global operations.
“This route will not only strengthen air connectivity but also promote trade and people-to-people ties between Pakistan and Oman,” said a PIA spokesperson.
A significant Pakistani community resides in Oman, and aviation analysts believe this new route could boost passenger traffic and improve PIA’s revenue in the Gulf region.
