Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has unveiled a new initiative aimed at easing the travel burden for Pakistani students journeying from China to Pakistan. The national carrier announced a significant 20% discount on airfares exclusively for Pakistani students, coupled with a substantial increase in the baggage allowance, now extended to 60 kilograms.
This move comes as a boon for Pakistani students studying in various cities across China, particularly those planning to return home for the summer break or after completing their academic programs. With an increasing number of students pursuing education opportunities in China, PIA’s latest offer is poised to provide substantial financial relief and convenience.
Operating one weekly flight on the Islamabad-Beijing-Islamabad route every Sunday, PIA aims to cater to the needs of Pakistani students by ensuring affordable and hassle-free travel options. Ali Imran, a Pakistani researcher, emphasized the significance of this initiative, noting the sizable population of Pakistani students currently enrolled in educational institutions across China.
The discounted fares and enhanced baggage allowance are expected to significantly alleviate the financial burden on students and their families, facilitating seamless travel experiences to and from Pakistan. This gesture underscores PIA’s commitment to serving the Pakistani community, particularly students, by offering affordable and accessible air travel options.
As the summer holidays approach and academic sessions conclude, PIA’s discounted fares and increased baggage allowance stand poised to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Pakistani students, reinforcing the airline’s role as a reliable partner in their educational journeys.
