Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif addressed the largest-ever Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit, highlighting Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace, security, and economic integration.
In his speech, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of collective action against terrorism, poverty, and climate challenges while urging member states to enhance trade and connectivity. He also underlined Pakistan’s geostrategic role as a bridge for regional cooperation and stressed the need for joint efforts to ensure stability in Afghanistan and beyond.
Leaders from across Asia, including China, Russia, Central Asian states, and other member countries, participated in the summit, making it one of the most significant gatherings in SCO history.
The Prime Minister’s participation reflects Pakistan’s growing engagement with regional platforms aimed at boosting development and strengthening diplomatic ties.
