Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to embark on an official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) today, June 12, at the invitation of the UAE leadership, according to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office.
During the visit, the Prime Minister is expected to meet with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and other high-ranking Emirati officials. Discussions will focus on strengthening bilateral ties, enhancing economic cooperation, and exploring new investment opportunities between the two countries.
This visit comes amid ongoing efforts to bolster Pakistan’s economic recovery and attract foreign investment. The Prime Minister is also scheduled to engage with key members of the Pakistani business community and UAE-based investors.
Pakistan and the UAE share deep-rooted historical, cultural, and economic ties. The UAE is one of Pakistan’s largest trading partners in the Gulf region and a key source of remittances.
Officials said that the visit would reinforce the longstanding brotherly relations between the two nations and pave the way for enhanced cooperation in multiple sectors, including energy, infrastructure, and technology.
