Islamabad, October 9, 2025 — Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has welcomed the newly proposed Gaza peace plan, calling it a “historic opportunity” to bring lasting stability to the Middle East and end decades of suffering for the Palestinian people.
In an official statement, the Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s consistent stance on the Palestinian cause, emphasizing that peace in the region is only possible through justice, dialogue, and the recognition of Palestinian rights.
“The Gaza peace plan represents a crucial step toward ending bloodshed and restoring hope in the region,” said Prime Minister Shehbaz. “Pakistan stands firmly with the Palestinian people and supports all diplomatic efforts that ensure their right to self-determination and statehood.”
The Prime Minister also urged the international community to play a constructive role in implementing the peace plan, ensuring that humanitarian aid reaches those affected, and supporting long-term reconstruction efforts in Gaza.
Analysts view the peace plan as a potentially transformative moment for the Middle East, with the possibility of renewed cooperation among regional and global powers to achieve sustainable peace.
