Warsaw — Poland has activated its air defense systems after reporting multiple Russian drones entering its airspace overnight. According to the Polish Armed Forces, radar detected several unauthorized aerial objects near the country’s eastern border, prompting immediate defensive measures.
Officials confirmed that no damage or casualties have been reported so far, but heightened security protocols remain in place. Poland, a NATO member, has repeatedly raised concerns over Russian drone activity spilling across its borders during the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
The Ministry of Defense stated that “all necessary steps were taken to ensure national security,” and consultations with NATO allies are underway.
This latest incident underscores growing regional tensions, as Warsaw warns that continued airspace violations could lead to “serious consequences.”
