ISLAMABAD — Police have arrested a man accused of transporting the suicide bomber involved in the recent Islamabad court attack that killed multiple people and injured several others, officials confirmed on Wednesday.
According to investigators, the suspect allegedly drove the attacker to the blast site and helped plan the operation. Authorities said the arrest marks a major breakthrough in the probe into the deadly explosion outside the district court earlier this week.
Security sources added that the detained man is being interrogated to identify other individuals or groups linked to the incident. Intelligence agencies are reportedly expanding the investigation to trace the wider network behind the attack.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has commended law enforcement agencies for the swift action, reiterating the government’s commitment to eliminating terrorism from the country.
