Within a span of approximately half an hour, two separate tremors were experienced, with the first registering a magnitude of 4.6 and the second, more substantial tremor at 6.2. The NCS confirmed that the earthquake’s epicenter was in Nepal, with the first tremor occurring at 2:15 pm and the second at 2:51 pm.
The intensity of the tremors prompted residents to evacuate buildings, with the shaking lasting for over a minute. Authorities have initiated emergency response measures, including checking for structural damage and ensuring the safety of the affected population.
In a related context, Dutch researcher Frank Hoogerbeets, known for his earthquake predictions based on celestial alignments, posted on social media about the possibility of an earthquake originating near Pakistan. He highlighted atmospheric fluctuations observed in parts of and near Pakistan on September 30 as a potential indicator of an impending stronger tremor. However, Hoogerbeets cautioned that certainty regarding such predictions is challenging to establish.
As rescue and relief efforts continue in the wake of the Nepal earthquake, the region remains on high alert, with experts closely monitoring seismic activity to ensure the safety of residents.
