Princess Kate Middleton once again paid homage to Pakistani fashion by wearing a dupatta from the renowned luxury label Élan, led by creative director Khadijah Shah, during Eid celebrations. A video of the Princess was shared by Khadijah on her Instagram, where Kate can be seen gracefully carrying the traditional piece.
In her heartfelt post, Khadijah Shah expressed immense joy at seeing the Princess of Wales in Élan’s creation once more. She noted that the outfit originally made headlines during Kate and Prince William’s historic visit to Pakistan in 2019, under the government of then-Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Khadijah praised the Princess for her “exceptional elegance,” calling the royal’s style choice a great honor for her fashion house. “It is always a proud moment to see our culture celebrated on a global platform with such grace and dignity,” she wrote.
It’s worth noting that during the royal couple’s 2019 visit, Kate first wore a black and white Élan ensemble that quickly became a fan favorite. The outfit was later released as part of Élan’s Eid collection, priced at Rs. 29,500, and sold out within days.
Princess Kate’s visit marked a diplomatic milestone as it was the first by a member of the British royal family in 13 years, the previous one being by Prince Charles and Camilla in 2006.
